The fun and excitement of youth football continues this summer/fall in the Suburban Amateur Football League (SAFL) of Western Mass. This marks the 43rd season that the SAFL has provided a structured environment for the Valley’s youth to experience the game of contact football. EVERYBODY PLAYS! Children from 8 years of age to those who turn 15 after November 15, 2011 are eligible. Player weight does not prevent participation but position restrictions may apply for safety reasons. Teams compete in 3 divisions based on age and grade.

The Pee Wees and the Juniors will be scrimmaging Agawam today Tuesday, 8/24 at Groff Park.

Seniors will be leaving Groff Park at 5:00. Any players that need transportation should arrive at the field BEFORE 4:45

The SAFL is providing all Suburban Teams an opportunity to weigh-in players that were registered before Aug. 7th but were unable to make the first weigh-in date. This is great opportunity for us to get more players on the field for our first game. If your child(ren) was not at the official weigh-in on Aug. 7th, please bring him to Home Depot on Sat.
Any questions, please contact the head coach from your child’s team or Tracy.
Players that were registered after Aug. 7th, will be attending a late weigh-in in September and are still ineligible to play in the first game.
Practice will be held: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday until the start of the Amherst school year (Sept. 2)**

GROFF PARK ~ 5:00 to 7:00 / Saturday times (TBD)
- Please arrive 15 minutes before the start and finish of practice.
- No children should be left at the field without adult supervision.
- Coaches are not permitted to drive players to or from practice.
- If your child is walking to/from Groff Park, please provide your child’s coach with a written permission note.
- Please alert your child’s coach if your child will be absent from practice. (Unexcused absences may result in limited playing time)
YOUR CHILD(REN) MUST BRING WATER TO EVERY PRACTICE!!
